When windows are washed, dust from the frames and tracks easily ends up on the sill and the floor. That's why it makes sense to do them on the same visit as the rest of the flat — everything gets done at once instead of in two goes.
When
When is the right time for windows?
Dirty windows are most noticeable when the sun first shines properly after winter, so spring is the natural time to wash them. The end of the heating season, work in the building or on the street, and the coming holidays are good reasons too.
After painting or replacing windows, the glass is left with paint, glue and protective stickers. That's not a job for a quick wipe — book a post-renovation cleaning, which includes removing those marks carefully.
